Tarot card for the week (13th August 2012)

John Holland’s Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck.

Major Arcana: Intuition.

(Please refer to this post for an Introduction)

Blimey! There I was talking about reading these cards intuitively!

The story this card tells me:

Intuition to me is inherent in all of us. It is the small voice that speaks to us when we are faced with a decision to make or an issue. It is that feeling we get in our guts or hearts that tells us that “Yes! This is the right choice” or “Thread carefully”. This is the gift that most of us have lost crowded out by the loud “white noise of daily living”. Intuition is the voice that comes from our wisdom self, our divine self through our hearts.

Be quiet and still for a moment and listen to that voice. Do not close yourself from your gift. I also believe that intuition is the voice of God talking to us. He is never loud; He is that persistent voice that gently and softly guides us.

The closed door in this card has such a beautiful strong bright light shinning, trying to get out. Don’t let fear, doubts or those around you stop you from shinning, from becoming the best that you are.  We all hold the answers to our questions within us. In fact we hold all the answers within us. Yes, sometimes we are unable to find the answers without some help but never doubt that the spiritual being that you are isn’t capable of seeing it.

The world, the Universe is right in front of you. Open your eyes and see it! You hold the potential to a great and beautiful soul. We all have that gift; we all are that beautiful soul.

Let the light in. Open the door. If you have asked for help, then accept it with grace. If you are fearful of asking for help, don’t be! We are all here to help one another. No man in an island. We are all beings on a journey to ascend.

Are you feeling off? Restless? Uncomfortable in your own skin? Like your heart is trapped in a cage? That could be your body telling you that something needs to be done. Don’t doubt yourself. Go inward and ask yourself honestly, what is my body trying to tell me? What do I need to change or do?

For me using my intuition has always struck the “awe” chord in me. I feel that developing the gift of intuition is awesome and at the same time scary. Using your intuition also takes practice and the thing is when you start listening to you and your heart it puts the responsibility of you and your life journey back into your own hands. This is a scary thought at times but if you believe that God is within you and that your actions are from a place of love and light, then it’s not too scary 🙂

Before you go on to the next page, which has the meaning of the card from the Guidebook, look at the card and see what it’s trying to tell you. Remember there is no right or wrong way to interpret the card. It’s what your heart and your intuition is trying to tell you 🙂

  1. Do you know, Shree, I was looking at the image on the card, looking at the figure in contemplation, the Universe on the shield, the ankh around her neck, the clouds and even the number two at the top of the card… I never noticed the door or the light coming from behind it. I’m obviously missing out on a lot of information. I’ve always had a slight problem of focusing on not exactly where I should be, and this proves it! Very interesting. I’m glad you posted this, and mentioned the door otherwise I’d still not have noticed it now!

    1. Hey Tom! No, no, no. If you didn’t see the door then to you it didn’t hold a significance. I used to be very conscious about missing stuff out on the cards as well BUT the idea is what draws your attention. As the reader of the card it is our intuition that guides us and there will definitely be some parts of the cards that at the time of reading it holds no meaning. So for you it was what you did notice that should be important!
