Instead of blogging, I’ve been…

exploring my creative side!

I’ve been using up my free days to just draw and play with colours – different mediums such as acrylic paint, pastels (chalk / soft pastels), coloured pencils and oil pastels. My favourite so far have been the oil pastels, chalk pastels and coloured pencils.

It’s weird how things are turning out. I wanted to spend my free days writing using the free time I have while working at the clinics to read. Instead I’ve found that I’ve been getting a lot of ideas for drawings and not much on what to write. It takes me about 2 hours or so to colour one piece and by the time I’m done for the two days or so…I feel drained, ready to exercise the mind for the next few days before I start itching to colour again.

So here are some more of my arty (farty) stuff – all drawn and coloured by me.

  1. Hi Shree… you’ve been busy! Love these, and your choices of colour!
I like your Wheel of Life, but I really like the dragon on your Yin and Yang… you blend the colours really well! I also like the face on the Wise Old Tree at the end… it reminds me of my Spirit of the Trees!
    Hope you’re well!

    1. Hi Tom! Yes I am doing fine thanks and I hope you are too! I’ve been slacking on reading the few blogs that I subscribe to so need to buck up in that! I’m missing out on your greek goddesses adventures!! Thanks for the kind words, Ive been having a blast with the drawing and colouring, though at times it does tire me out. As my sister keeps telling me…”Balance! Balance!…” I love the blending too…especially with the oil pastels πŸ™‚

      1. Don’t worry about that, Shree… those tales are still there, and still ongoing!
I’ve been doing a bit of digital ‘art’ of late and I’m feeling inspired to get more creative artistically… I’ll get Halloween out of the way and then follow that particular path!
