In our hands…

Quote from the book “the ecstatic moment”, by Paul Ferrini.

I’ve read too some authors that say Heaven and Hell are not actual places but the imprints of the experiences that we have gone through in our life time.

I believe the above quote is true…but there are times when it can take great strength to rise above our situation to see the blessings even in situations that are dark and bleak.

I don’t think it means that we are to disregard the times when we are sad, or have been hurt. What I feel is that though we will experience the pains of life, we need to learn to shed our tears, wipe our eyes and then look for the silver lining the clouds.

What are your thoughts?

  1. I totally agree with you , Shree, we have to experience both sides of the coin. Or else, I personally think, we won’t learn and grow, the stone has to bump against other things to achieve the roundness, the smoothness of perfecting it’s shape. Lovely blog my friend.
ps/ I didn’t realise my answers to you were being posted to Sage’s site.. . blimey, this ease of replying has it drawbacks, methinks… but still ‘cool’ tho’ definitely.. 🙂 xPenx

    1. Thank you Penn 🙂 I love the way you put it…..and it’s a lovely way to envision our journey through life 😀

Yes! We’ve been “spamming” Sage’s post…lol. That’s the fun part though…and as the little orange light comes on almost as soon as a reply is’s just like having a conversation!!

      1. I just double checked that this is on your site… blimey I felt a bit like an intruder, ….but you’re right, this is definitely a conversation … and I’m sitting at my dining room table, using my new laptop, ‘talking’ to you Shree, aint’ technology wonderful… (sometimes) heh heh !!

        1. Hehehe…it is awesome! As I sit on my bed with my laptop enjoying the little conversations!! Ooo and congrats on your new lappy! Have fun exploring it 😀

Just look at the top of the little window that pops out when you click on the particular notification and you can see the title of the post that you are commenting on 🙂

          1. Thanks for the tip, Shree, and this laptop is fantastic. I’ve only used PC’s before.. and this is a totally but invigorating new experience. Windows 8 is an eye opener too, AND I think my typing has become better, how can that be?… Mayhap the keyboard is better tuned to my fingers 😉 xx

            1. You’re welcome! and glad you are having such a fun time with the new lappy!! Hehehe…well you know a laptop just makes our fingers want to behave a lot better when tapping out words 😉

  2. Very true, Shree, and that’s a nice painting as well!
I think we need to be aware of the ‘bad’ but to really focus and appreciate the ‘good’… the bad gives us balance, if you like. Just don’t dwell on it, only be aware. What we think about and focus on, we can bring on to ourselves… so goods good!

  3. That’s a good way to look at it. Life can definitely be a challenge at times, but trying to see the positive side of things can help us get through the bad. How we perceive things greatly affects our outlook.

  4. Just dropping by to exchange a smile Shree, … and I clicked your ‘about me’ page… now I understand the reference in your comment about ‘patients’ and shaking hands… 🙂 … warmest of hugs…. xPenx
