Glass half empty or half full, you get what you choose to see.

kb_Wall_Josephine-Spirit_of_Winter Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, says one.

Are you a glass half full or half empty type of person?

When something doesn’t happen as you wanted it to, or expected it to…how do you choose to take it?

  1. Well as you know, from my recent event…at first I thought it was empty and then I decided it was mostly full. Our initial reaction is not always from a positive perception, but fortunately I decided to flip it. Now its so full it is overflowing. šŸ˜€

  2. I fluctuate between the two. Pessimists have called me an optimist and some ( mainly cynicists) have called me negative. I naturally lean towards pessimism but as a therapist I work so much with helping others by reframing their perceptions and attitudes. It would be very gratifiying to discover that every element of the life journey is ultimately geared towards evolution and the highest good.

    1. It can be hard at times to see the good , especially when we are inundated with negativity where ever we turn…in the news, on the radio, in television…even on FB (lol)!

You know there is this saying: There is a silver lining in every cloud? I believe that to be true…though sometimes it’s hard to see it šŸ™‚

  3. Always my glass is half full, we are often given those moments in life that make us question.. or have us lost in sadness or disappointments… But then if we didn’t have these moments in life when would we know we were Happy or full of joy? Life is a series of positive and negative, how we deal with each of them shows us that life can always be in balance.. Learning that even in the sorrowful corners of our lives are the lessons that are perhaps the most profound in our learning and growth for our souls development.. for me personally my own enemies have been my greatest teachers without whom I would not be who I am today…

Thought provoking post Shree……. Love and Blessings ~Sue

    1. Hey Peter! It’s definitely a good way to look at things though most times we need to remind ourselves and consciously do so! I know I have to remind myself sometimes too šŸ™‚
