Mystery unraveled

mysteryblogdoneBlog awards by bloggers on WordPress is a “thing”. It’s fun, it allows for people to expand their circle of blogs to visit, it can help form friendships or at the very least a passing connection, it can get a little ridiculous and for some it can get a little tiresome.

For me, I enjoy getting these awards because it helps me with putting up a blog post on things that I wouldn’t have thought of and it has also introduced me to some awesome bloggers.

2014 in review

Hello world!

Sigh..I’m not fully back yet, but it’s a New year..with hopes and dreams waiting to be charged up.

And since WordPress was willing to help start the year off for me, I thought why not.

Happily After Retirement

I have three books that I’m currently reading and today I picked one up titled I Believe: When What You Believe Matters by Eldon Taylor.  I found a passage that jumped out at me and I read it again and again. It’s a story Joseph Campbell tells about Freidrich NIstzsche.

“At a certain moment in Nietzsche’s life, the idea came to him of what he called “the love of your fate.” Whatever your fate is, whatever the heck happens, you say, “This is what I need.” It may look like a wreck but go through it as though it were an opportunity or a challenge.

If you bring love to that moment–not discouragement– you will find the strength is there. Any disaster that you can survive is an improvement in your character, your stature, and your life. What a privilege! This is when the spontaneity of your own nature will…
